PAWSE / PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy policy

What stays on your phone, what’s shared by choice, and how you stay in control.

Pre-launch policy preview. We’re finalising the publisher’s details and public support email before the app launches. This page is not yet the final App Store privacy-policy URL.

Your cat lives on your phone.
Your private app activity stays there, too.

Our public support address will be added here before launch. No email sign-up or contact form is active on this preview website.

Your home stays on your phone

Pawse stores your name, your cat’s name and appearance, pet history, memories, selected-app tokens, limits and settings locally. There is no Pawse sign-in or shared-pet server. Data may also be included in device backups managed by Apple and your device settings.

Screen Time

With your permission, Apple’s Screen Time frameworks measure and restrict the apps you choose. Their private activity reports are displayed on your device. Pawse does not send those reports, app identities or browsing history to TelemetryDeck. You can revoke Screen Time access in iPhone Settings; doing so prevents Pawse from enforcing limits.

Optional usage analytics

Analytics is off until you choose to share it. If enabled, Pawse sends TelemetryDeck events such as completing setup, configuring a limit, using a life, watching a memory, waving, adopting or sacrificing a cat. Events can include counts, chosen allowance durations, the cat’s day and a randomly generated installation identifier hashed before transmission. The SDK adds app/build version, device and operating-system information and language/region settings. We do not attach your name, cat name, selected app identities, detailed Screen Time reports or precise location.

Your choice

You can enable or disable analytics in Settings → Privacy. Either choice leaves the app’s features available. Disabling it stops new event recording and cancels the current app’s analytics network session. A request already received by the service cannot be recalled, and previously recorded events from a suspended widget may still be delivered. We do not use analytics for advertising, session replay or tracking across other companies’ apps.

Analytics retention

TelemetryDeck hosts the analytics service and applies further anonymization. Its published policy does not guarantee a fixed deletion date for anonymized events. We cannot identify an individual’s stored events from their name or email, and anonymous aggregate statistics may remain after analytics is disabled. Contact us if you have questions or want to exercise applicable privacy rights.

Notifications and daylight

Notifications are scheduled locally through Apple and are optional. Your iPhone notification settings control their delivery. If you choose location-based daylight, Pawse requests approximate location to calculate sunrise and sunset on the device. This location is not added to analytics or sent to a Pawse server. You can use daylight settings without granting location access.

Support and exported memories

If you email support, we receive the email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer you and resolve the issue, and keep correspondence only as long as needed for support or applicable legal obligations. Please avoid sending app-selection information or private usage screenshots. Keepsake exports are files you choose to save or share; they do not contain selected-app tokens and are not automatically uploaded to us.

Deleting local data and your rights

Deleting Pawse removes its local app data, subject to shared widget storage and backups controlled by iOS. Export any memories you want to keep first. There is no Pawse account to delete. For personal information held in support correspondence, you can contact us about access, correction, deletion or other applicable rights. UK residents can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Service providers and changes

Optional analytics is provided by TelemetryDeck GmbH. Apple provides the App Store, device permissions, notifications and any device backup services you use, under Apple’s own policies. Any public support website’s host also processes ordinary connection information to serve its pages. We will update this policy when the app’s data practices change.

This website

This website does not run TelemetryDeck, advertising pixels, session replay or visitor analytics. It does not set marketing cookies, store your demo choices or collect sign-ups. Trying the cat, coat and life previews only changes the page in your browser.

The site is hosted using OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. The hosting providers process ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and browser request details, to deliver and secure the site. They may also set security cookies to detect bots and abuse; Pawse does not use those cookies for advertising or analytics. The public website does not require you to sign in. Those services have their own privacy policies.
